New Custom Skate Necklaces
Well, September turned out to be a super-busy month! In between my part-time job and my jewellery, the boy managed to persuade me to leave London for a wedding on the Isle of Wight and a weekend at a lovely cottage in the New Forest. He'd booked all the tickets/accommodation and sorted everything out, so it wasn't until I was on the ferry leaving Southampton that I suddenly realised I was actually taking a break for the first time in forever! In the meantime, I've been making some more custom skate necklaces. I never get bored of cutting, carving and polishing the little numbers, it's strangely therapeutic!
Here's one of them - a tricky one, as 4s are all parallel straight lines.
And another tricky one - an 11. Even more straight lines!
I tried a new photography experiment on this one of shooting with an underlight through two-way mirror perspex, but am not keen on the result.
Currently making another new skate number necklace, which does have straight lines, but also some nice curves, which makes me happy!
