Jewellery Workshops - Ring Carving

Last week I had the pleasure of hosting another jewellery ring carving workshop, this time tucked away upstairs on the lovely mezzanine level at Exale Brewery Taproom in Walthamstow. It was such a great space for the workshop - a perfect little creative nook!

Over the course of the evening, each person carved a ring they genuinely loved and are now excited to have cast into silver to keep forever. That’s the best feeling about teaching these workshops - seeing a sketch or idea turn into something personal, tactile, and meaningful.

And, a little lighting update! My new rechargeable spotlights were an absolute game changer. No more inventive phone-torch-on-a-beer-glass rigging, although I did massively appreciate the resourcefulness of the previous workshop! It made such a difference for carving those tiny details in close up.

The whole evening was relaxed, joyful, and focused, exactly what I wanted these creative workshops to be. It’s so wonderful watching people surprise themselves with what they can make when given a bit of wax, a few tools, and the space away from screens to just play. I’m so grateful to everyone who came along, carved so beautifully, and made the evening such a joy.

Already looking forward to the next one ✨
